CM Punjab Green E-Taxi Program 2025 || A Big Step for Youth and Clean Pakistan
The Government of Punjab, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is launching a Green E-Taxi Program to support young people and protect the environment at the same time.
This program is designed to provide electric taxis (E-Taxis) to jobless youth through interest-free installments, so they can earn a living while also reducing pollution.
🚕 What is the Green E-Taxi Program?
The Green E-Taxi Program is part of Punjab’s new transport revolution. The government will offer 1,100 electric vehicles (EVs) in the first phase.
These taxis are fully electric — no petrol or diesel — which means:
- Zero smoke
- No noise
- Low running cost
There are two models of cars being offered:
Honri VC20 (200 km range)
Honri VC30 (300 km range)
👨💼 Who Can Apply?
- This program is specially made for:
- Young people who are jobless
- Women looking to start driving careers
- Disabled persons
- Residents of villages and small towns
- To apply, you must have:
- A valid LTV driving license
- At least matriculation (10th grade) education
- A CNIC (Computerized National ID Card)

Don’t worry! The Punjab government is setting up charging stations every 3 km in Lahore and will expand to other cities soon. So, charging your taxi will be fast and easy.

📅 When Is It Starting?
The registration has already started in June 2025. Thousands of people have applied. Right now, the government is testing the system with 26 electric taxis. After that, full rollout will begin.
